WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- The University of Delaware men’s golf team recorded team rounds of 297 and 305 as the Blue Hens ended Monday’s action in ninth place at the Joe Agee Invitational hosted by William & Mary.


James Madison leads the 11-team field with a two-round score of 568, while Towson is second at 570 and the host Tribe is third at 576. The Blue Hens concluded the day with a two-round total of 602, and will enter Tuesday’s final round just one shot behind Hofstra and three back of Saint Francis (Pa.).

Delaware junior Niño Rosal carded a seven over par 74-75-149 on the par 71, 6,822-yard course at The Williamsburg Club, ending the day tied for 27th place in the individual standings.

Three Blue Hens concluded Monday’s play tied for 35th place at nine over par, including senior Dan Costenbader who fired a 75-76-151. Junior Fraser Graham and freshman Marc Oliveri fired identical rounds of 74-77-151 and are also tied for 35th place.

UD sophomore Kyle Martin carded an 18 over par 80-80-160 and enters Tuesday’s action tied for 62nd place.

Alex Hicks of William & Mary fired a 10 under par 66-66-132 and holds a four-shot lead entering the tournament’s final round, which will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.
