FARMVILLE, Va. -- Blue Hen freshman Braden Shattuck tied for sixth place in the individual standings while the University of Delaware men's golf team tied for fourth in the team standings this weekend at the Manor Intercollegiate hosted by Longwood.

The Blue Hens posted their second consecutive sub-300 round on Saturday, recording a 299 team score to tie for fourth place out of 10 squads and notch their third consecutive top-five finish. George Mason claimed the team title with a 901 score, while Drexel finished second one shot behind. The host Lancers placed third at 904, while the Blue Hens and Saint Bonaventure each recorded 909 team scores to tie for fourth place.

Shattuck (at right) carded the tournament’s lowest round of the day by firing a three under par 69 on the par 72, 7,219-yard course at the Manor Resort, finishing in a tie for sixth place in the individual standings with a five over par 80-72-69-221. Shattuck’s round was the second lowest of his season, while he recorded his team-leading fifth top-five finish of the year.

Fellow rookie Kyle Martin had the second lowest round by a Blue Hen on Saturday, as he carded a two over par 74 to finish in a tie for 28th place at 83-72-74-229, 13 over par. Junior Dan Costenbader recorded a nine over 81 during his final round, ending with a 16 over par 77-74-81-232 to tie for 34th place.

Senior Ben Conroy also carded an 81 on Saturday to finish tied for 36 place with a 17 over par 78-74-81-233, while sophomore Niño Rosal tied for 42nd place after he shot a three over 75 on Saturday to finish with a 19 over par 84-76-75-235.

Dylan Jensen of Longwood fired a two under par 72-70-72-214 to earn tournament medalist honors, finishing three shots ahead of Max McKay of Liberty.

Delaware returns to action next weekend when the Blue Hens compete in the Navy Spring Classic in Annapolis, Md.
