FARMVILLE, Va. -- The University of Delaware men’s golf team opened with a 318 round before improving with a 292 as the Blue Hens are tied for fourth place out of 10 teams on Friday following the first day of the Manor Intercollegiate hosted by Longwood.

George Mason leads the team standings with a two-round score of 600, while Drexel sits in second place at 601. The host Lancers are third with a 602 score while La Salle, Delaware are Saint Bonaventure are tied for fourth at 610.

Blue Hen junior Dan Costenbader (at right) carded a seven over par 77-74-151 on the par 72, 7,219-yard course at the Manor Resort, ending the day tied for 21st place in the individual standings.

Freshman Braden Shattuck, who fired an 80-72-152, and senior Ben Conroy, who recorded a 78-74-152, are each tied for 26th place at eight over par. Freshman Kyle Martin carded an 11 over par 83-72-155 to end the day tied for 34th place, while sophomore Niño Rosal is tied for 52nd place after his 16 over par 84-76-160.

Dylan Jensen of Longwood leads the field with a two under par 72-70-142, while Zack Lauzon of George Mason fired a 73-70-143 and is one shot back.

The third and final round of the Manor Intercollegiate will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday.
