University of Delaware Menís Golfers in Seventh Place Following First Day of Wildcat Invitational
MALVERN, Pa. -- The University of Delaware men’s golf squad carded team scores of 311 and 302 on Monday to end the day in seventh place out of 16 teams at the Villanova Wildcat Invitational.
Five teams were unable to complete the second round due to darkness, and will finish the round at 8 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the third and final round of the tournament. Youngstown State leads the field with a 31 over par team score, although the Penguins were one of the squads that could not finish the second round.
Blue Hen junior Fraser Graham, playing as an individual, could not complete the final two holes of his second round, but is an impressive two under par during the round. Graham fired a seven over par 78 in his first round on the par 71, 7,055-yard course at White Manor Country Club, and is currently tied for third place in the individual standings at five over par.
UD senior Dan Costenbader carded an eight over par 72-78-150 on Monday, ending the day tied for 13th place. Sophomore Kyle Martin sits in 16th place following his two-round total of 77-74-151, nine over par.
Sophomore Colin McKenna is tied for 23rd place after he fired a 12 over par 80-74-154 during his day, while freshman Marc Oliveri carded a 19 over par 85-76-161 to finish Monday’s action tied for 65th place.
Blue Hen junior Niño Rosal is tied for 68th place following his two-round total of 82-80-162, 20 over par.
