Michael Sanders Furr • born June 18, 1994 in Fiarfax Station, Va. • son of Robert B. Furr, Jr. and Heidi Furr • has an older brother, Robert, who was a member of the Blue Hen rowing club team • majoring in mechanical engineering with a minor in bio-med at UD with the goal of becoming a biomechanical engineer • favorite sports teams are the Philadelphia Phillies and Washington Redskins • enjoys running • has aspirations of participating in Engineers Without Borders • spent summer (2013) as a research intern for the UD Center for Composite Materials, where he helped research the carbon fiber exoskeleton for military soldiers • interned with JP Morgan in summer 2015.
