NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware volleyball team will be holding a suit drive to benefit Dress for Success Philadelphia this Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bob Carpenter Center prior to the Blue Hens’ match against Towson.

Gently worn women’s suits, skirts, pants, shoes, and bags of all sizes will be accepted. Anyone who brings an item will receive a free ticket to a remaining UD volleyball match.

The mission of Dress for Success Philadelphia is to promote the economic independence of women in need who are transitioning back into the local workforce by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

They have suited more than 600,000 women in over 118 cities across the world. As their organization has grown, so has the ability to serve the total needs of their clients. “Obviously our ability to give back to those not as privileged is something that our program likes to do on a daily basis,” said Blue Hen head coach Bonnie Kenny. “Dress for Success Philadelphia is a terrific organization and we are happy to partner with them during our Towson match.”
