WILMINGTON, N.C. - Following one of the best performances of his career, University of Delaware pitcher Brandon Hinkle was named to the Colonial Athletic Association Baseball All-Tournament Team announced following th tournament Saturday.

The senior southpaw pitched 8-plus innings, allowed just two runs, and hurled a career-high 137 pitches in Delaware’s 3-2 victory over Northeastern Thursday evening in the elimination round of the four-day tournament.

Hinkle (Lancaster, Pa./Hempfield HS) finished the season with 4.61 ERA and was tied for the team lead with five victories (5-1) on the year.

College of Charleston won the CAA Baseball Championship Saturday in the school’s first season in the conference with a 6-4 victory over top-seeded William & Mary.

Delaware, which won its first round game over Northeastern on Wednesday before falling to William & Mary in the second round on Thursday, was eliminated from the tournament with a 5-3 defeat to UNCW Friday evening.
