Threatt scored 24 points, dished out a game-high five assists, and made three steals and Usher (left) contributed 22 points and five steals as Delaware (4-3) won for the second straight game and for the fourth time in the last five games. The duo also combined to knock down 23 of 29 free throw attempts.

Delaware, which scored 50 points in the second half, surpassed the 80-point mark for the sixth straight game, the longest streak by a Blue Hen team since March of 1999 and just the third time in school history that UD has put together a streak that long.

“To put up 50 points in the second half against a team that prides itself on defense is monumental,” said Delaware head coach Monté Ross. “We weathered a few storms today, stuck with it, and were able to get some separation. I was very happy with our defensive effort in the first half, and when they cut the lead to four in the second half, we were able to get some stops and extend the lead.”

Robert Morris (3-5) lost for the third straight game and for the fifth time its last six outings despite a game and season-high 25 points from guard Karvel Anderson. Anderson knocked down five three-pointers but forward Mike McFadden (11 points) was the only other Colonial player to reach double figures.

The game was Delaware's final home appearance until New Years Day as the Blue Hens open a six-game road swing Dec. 3 at Charleston Southern.

Delaware center Carl Baptiste (at right) also recorded his first career double-double Saturday as he scored 13 points and pulled 11 rebounds to lead a balanced effort. Devonne Pinkard added a season-high nine points and Kyle Anderson contributed seven points to pace the Blue Hens.

The Blue Hens shot a sizzling 56 percent from the field (14 of 25) in the second half and finished at 52 percent for the game (27 of 52) to keep the Colonials at bay. Delaware also outrebounded Robert Morris 34-28 and outshot them 28-16 from the foul line.

Delaware jumped out to an 8-2 lead three minutes into the game and led by as many as 11 points at 18-7 before the Colonials rallied to cut the lead to 25-23 on an Anderson three-pointer with 5:00 left in the stanza. But the Hens regrouped and outscored the Colonials 11-4 the rest of the way to take a 36-27 lead at the break.

Robert Morris made another strong run at the lead early in the second half as the Colonials used a 6-1 spurt to pull to within four points at 45-41 with 15:20 left to play. But that was as close as they would get the rest of the way as Delaware broke away on a 10-2 run to push the lead back to double figures and led by at least nine points the remainder of the afternoon.
