Athlete photoKANSAS CITY, Mo. --Former University of Delaware men’s basketball guard and recent UD graduate Will Townsville has been named to the 2012-13 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court on Wednesday.

Townsville, a Newark, Del. native and a four-year member of the Blue Hens, graduated with a degree in business management from Delaware in May with a 3.209 grade point average.

This year marks the second consecutive season Townsville was named to the NABC Honors Court, while he also earned CAA Men’s Basketball Academic Honorable Mention and CAA Academic Honor Roll accolades during each of his last three years. Townsville appeared in 13 games while making a pair of starts as a senior for the Blue Hens during the 2012-13 season, grabbing 12 rebounds and scoring four points on the campaign.

In order to be named to the NABC Honors Court an athlete must be a junior or senior academically, boast a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2012-13 academic year, and have matriculated at least one year at his current institution.
