BALTIMORE, Md. -- The top-seeded University of Delaware men's basketball team will take on eighth-seeded Hofstra on Saturday at 12 noon at Baltimore Arena in the 2014 Colonial Athletic Association Tournament Quarterfinals.

The Pride improved to 10-22 on the season with a 78-70 win over ninth-seeded UNCW Friday night in the tournament's first round game.

Delaware went 22-9 during the regular season and 14-2 in league play, earning the top seed in the tournament for the first time since joining the CAA.

Hofstra leads the all-time series with Delaware, 48-30, but the Blue Hens have won the last seven meetings between the schools. UD posted an 86-79 victory over the Pride on Jan. 8 at the Carpenter Center in both teams’ CAA opener this season, and an 81-77 victory in Hempstead on Feb. 19.

Delaware is 3-2 against Hofstra in postseason tournaments, including last year’s 62-57 triumph in the CAA Quarterfinals.

Saturday's game will televised live by Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, Mid-Atlantic and New England, as well as CSS and SNY.

The winner moves on to Sunday's semfinals at 2:30 p.m. against the winner of the Drexel-Northeastern quarterfinal.
