Exclusive Student Fan Group of Blue Hens Athletics

Cockpit Halloween Costume Contest

All students participating should check-in at the Cockpit Central kiosk behind section 1 on the concourse by 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, 10/29. The volleyball match begins at 7 p.m., and the costume contest will take place between the 1st & 2nd sets.

Crowd-favorite costumes will win first, second, and third prizes – the grand prize is $100 to Barnes & Noble for textbooks or UD gear! Please remember costumes need to be appropriate in order to participate and be on display before the family-friendly Blue Hens audience.

Attend the following three Cockpit games during Operation October and you’ll find yourself on-field at Delaware Stadium to lead the team out of the gameday helmet during pregame on Sat. 11/1.

To participate, check-in at the Cockpit Central Kiosk at each of the following games:

  • Sunday, 10/19 Women’s Soccer vs. James Madison @ 1 p.m. at Stuart and Suzanne Grant Stadium
  • Friday, 10/24 Field Hockey vs.  Northeastern @ 7 p.m. at Rullo Stadium
  • Wednesday, 10/29 Volleyball vs. Hofstra @ 7 p.m. at The BOB

Attending all three games will earn your spot on the football field, but if you cannot make it to all three you will not be left out! Checking in at any one of the Cockpit games this month will enter your name into a raffle for $250 to Klondike Kate’s! Each time you check in your name is entered again into the raffle, so attending all three games gives you three chances to win!

In addition, the Volleyball match on 10/29 will be Halloween themed, and will include a Cockpit Costume Contest at Intermission. Crowd-favorite costumes will win first, second, and third prizes. Please remember costumes need to be appropriate in order to participate and be on display before the family-friendly Blue Hens audience.

The Blue Hens look forward to your support in October and through the rest of the year!
