It's that time of year again! Enjoy an action-packed day with Blue Hens Athletics & Recreation including the Fan Zone (10 a.m. to 1 p.m.) with live entertainment, inflatables, pony rides, face painting, food, fun and more.
SELECT-YOUR-SEAT EVENT [10 a.m. to 12 p.m.]
The University of Delaware will be hosting its 4th annual Select-Your-Seat event at Delaware Stadium on Saturday, May 7. The event will be held in conjunction with Blue Hens Fandemonium VII featuring the annual Delaware Football Spring Game.
Patrons looking to purchase new season tickets, along with current season ticket holders looking for additional upgrades, relocations or wishing to add additional seats will be able to do so beginning at 10 a.m. inside of Delaware Stadium.
Select seats will be tagged for fans that want to upgrade, switch sections or purchase season tickets. Ticket Office staff members will be available at the stadium to answer any questions and assist anyone looking to purchase tickets.
How to purchase: If you would like to purchase new tickets or relocate existing tickets, remove the tag on the seat(s) you would like and bring to the Ticket Services kiosk located on the sideline in the southwest corner of the stadium and a ticket representative will assist you.
If you are UD Alumni, ticket specials (limit 4) will also be available in Section A for only $89! Please let the ticket representative know that you are UD alumni at the time of purchase.
[9 a.m.] University of Delaware Volleyball Spring Fling
Join Blue Hens Volleyball and the local volleyball community at the UD Athletics Complex as they host their annual grass volleyball tournament event. All ages and skill levels are welcome to participate. All teams are guaranteed three (3) competitions. For full tournament details click here.
[9:45 a.m.] DE Athletic Trainers Association 5K Run/1 Mile Walk Begins
Proceeds from the event will help support the Delaware Athletic Trainers’ Association’s mission to support programs dedicated to the safety of student-athletes, educate the public on the profession of Athletic Training, and provide athletic training students in Delaware with leadership opportunities.
Advance registration by April 16 will guarantee a race t-shirt. Day of registration will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. For details on the race click here.
[10 a.m. to 2 p.m.] UD Athletics Apparel Sale
Fans will have the opportunity to purchase new and used athletics apparel at discount prices at the Bob Carpenter Center’s West Gymnasium. UD is making athletics gear such as footwear, jerseys, t-shirts, shorts, polos, sweatpants, sweatshirts, and other miscellaneous athletic apparel items bearing the Blue Hens logo available for purchase. Products from multiple vendors will be on sale. In conjunction with Fandemonium VII, the general public will have the opportunity to purchase the limited remaining items. All items will be marked at discount rates ranging from $2 to $40. Cash, Flex and credit cards sales will be available and all sales will be final. There will be no refunds, returns, or exchanges.
[12 p.m.] Football Blue-White Spring Game
Be there as Delaware Football takes the field for the annual Blue-White Spring Game at Delaware Stadium beginning at 12 p.m.
[12 p.m.] Blue Hens Softball DH Game
Root on Blue Hens Softball as they hit the diamond against CAA opponent Elon in their home finale as we thank the Class of 2016 for their efforts. The doubleheader matchup will begin at 12 p.m. at the Delaware Softball Stadium. Watch out for flying t-shirts in between the 2nd and 6th innings of the game. Admission and parking are free.
[1 p.m.] Delaware Baseball Game
Join Delaware Baseball at Bob Hannah Stadium for their 2nd game of the 3-game series against Elon beginning at 1 p.m. T-shirts will be up for grab in between the 3rd and 7th innings of the game to fans in attendance. Admission and parking are free.
[4-7 p.m.] Curling "Rock Stars" Event
The University of Delaware’s Fred Rust Ice Arena will host introductory curling events for budding “rock stars” from 4-7 p.m.. Sponsored by the Diamond State Curling Club, the event is free for UD students, faculty, staff and Blue Hen Fans. For details, click here.
