2014 SEASON

First Blue Hen to be named to the IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region First Team since 2007 • First Team All-CAA selection • UD Alumni Association Team MVP • CAA Player of the Week (Feb. 25) • led the CAA and finished 21st in the NCAA with 2.93 goals per game • second in the league with four game winning goals in addition to placing third in the CAA with 3.29 points per game (74th NCAA) • led Delaware with 46 points (134th NCAA) off of a team-best 41 goals (70th NCAA) and five assists • also guided the Hens with 34 draw controls, a total good for ninth in UD history • averaged 2.43 draw controls per game (111th NCAA) • tied for second on the team with 86 caused turnovers (1.14 per game/86th NCAA) • posted 2.0 groundballs per game, good for 80th nationally • missed two games with an injury • recorded nine hat tricks, including four straight to kick off year • opened season with five goals against No. 15 Georgetown (Feb. 16) • collected a career-high six goals on eight shots against Temple on March 27 • the six goals tie for a Delaware Stadium record • also recorded a career-high six draw controls against the Owls • scored at least one goal and posted at least one draw control in each game played.

Caitlin Erin McCartney • born March 27, 1993 • daughter of Bryan and Karen McCartney • father played football for Widener • older brother, Bryan, played lacrosse at Villanova, while older brother Sean is a quarterback at West Chester • majoring in health behavior science with a minor in public health • chose Delaware because of the close proximity to home and lacrosse program • started playing lacrosse in the third grade • enjoys skiing, swimming, going to the beach and spending time with family and friends.
