HEN SCRATCHINGS
     ·  Sophomores Casey Lyons and Lauren VanDaniker combined for 11 points last Saturday as the Blue Hens came back from a halftime deficit to defeat Villanova, 11-8, at Delaware Stadium.
     ·  Lyons was named the CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week after tallying five goals in back-to-back games last week.
     ·  Dating to last season, Delaware has won six straight games at home.
     ·  The Blue Hens are 22-24 (.478) all-time at Delaware Stadium.
     ·  Junior Caitlin McCartney has tallied at least one point in 35 consecutive games.
     ·  Senior Chelsea Fay has scored at least one goal in 32 straight contests and now has 97 career goals.
     ·  Lyons leads the Hens with 20 points on 15 goals and five assists while McCartney and Fay each have 15 points.
     ·  McCartney guides UD with 15 draw controls and 13 groundballs.  Sophomore Lizzie Duffey has also collected 13 groundballs this season.
     ·  Junior Alex Zaugra and senior Tori Zorovich have split time between the pipes this season.  Zaugra has tallied 22 saves with a 10.48 goals allowed average in 189 minutes while Zorovich holds a 9.12 goals against average with 16 saves in 171 minutes of action.

SERIES INFORMATION
     ·  Delaware is 2-1 all-time against Virginia Tech since the first meeting in 2006.
     ·  The Blue Hens are 1-0 over the Hokies in Newark with the lone matchup resulting in a 16-7 Delaware victory on March 27, 2007 at Rullo Stadium.
     ·  UD has won two straight against VT.
     ·  In the last meeting, Delaware defeated Virginia Tech, 8-7, in Blacksburg on March 23, 2008.

THE COACHES
     ·  Delaware head coach Kateri Linville is in her fourth season with her alma mater and currently holds a career record of 26-30.
     ·  Megan Burker is also in her fourth season as the head coach at Virginia Tech.  Burker has led the Hokies to an overall record of 31-26 during her tenure.

ABOUT VILLANOVA
The Hokies are 3-3 on the season with wins over High Point, Elon and Longwood.  Virginia Tech began ACC play last week with losses to No. 6 Duke and No. 12 Notre Dame.  The team’s other defeat came to CAA opponent James Madison in the season opener.  Senior Julia Heaps and junior Megan Will lead the Hokies each with 24 points on 16 goals and eight assists.  Junior Meg Bartley ranks eighth in the nation with 6.2 draw controls per game, amassing 33 total so far this season.  Freshman Meagh Graham has started all six goals in the cage for VT with a total of 317 minutes played.  She allows 17.6 goals per game with 46 saves.
