"The girls played a very strong game this afternoon," said Delaware head coach Scott Grzenda. "We created many great opportunities but failed to finish them off. Their goalie was the best we've seen this season and was extremely hard to beat. It was great to see Shannon and Andi step up early in the game and put one away, as everyone knows its so important to get that first conference win."

Delaware now owns a 6-4 overall record with a perfect 1-0 league record. Towson falls to 5-5-1 overall and 0-1 in the CAA.
