Joining Miller as CAA Co-Player of the Week was Drexel sophomore defender Melissa Chapman, who also scored two goals as the Dragons went 1-0-1 in conference action.
Additionally, Hofstra freshman midfielder Jill Mulholland was honored by the CAA as Rookie of the Week after she scored two goals and added an assist over the weekend against UNCW and Georgia State.
Miller scored two goals, both of which were game-winners, in Delaware’s 2-0 week in CAA play. The senior forward found the net in the 65th minute that gave the Hens a 1-0 victory over Towson Friday night and scored in overtime to lead Delaware past George Mason, 2-1 on Sunday afternoon.
The Sinking Spring, Pa. native (Wilson HS), now leads the Blue Hens with three goals on the season as Delaware sits tied for first in the CAA with an undefeated, 2-0, conference record with Hofstra. The Hens own an overall record of 5-4.
The weekly honor is the first this season for Miller and second overall from the CAA during her career.
Miller’s nod from the CAA marks back-to-back weeks the University of Delaware women’s soccer program was honored by the conference with freshman midfielder Emily Market’s CAA Rookie of the Week selection last week.
Miller and the Blue Hens continue their CAA schedule this week with a pair of road matches. On Friday, Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., UD will travel to Atlanta, Ga., and battle Georgia State and on Sunday, Sept. 30 at 1 p.m., battle at UNCW.
