NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women’s soccer head coach Scott Grzenda and his staff will be hosting a clinic for field players and goalkeepers on Saturday, March 2, on the UD campus from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
With a limited enrollment, registration is due by Feb. 24, 2013 and the cost for each camper is $65 dollars.
High school age players will have the opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season by taking part in drills for forwards, midfielders, defenders, and goalkeepers with individual and team tactical play included. Athletes will be guided by experienced coaches and will learn what is needed to play at the next level.
Grzenda, who recently completed his 22nd season as the only coach in Blue Hen women’s soccer coach history, will serve as host of the camp along with assistant coach Nitan Soni, goalkeeper coach Brian Sprinkle and members of the Blue Hen women’s soccer team.
The clinics will be held on the University of Delaware Turf Fields located directly behind Delaware Field House at the Nelson Athletics Complex. In case of rain, the event will be held inside in the Delaware Field House.
Athletes should provide their own equipment, including shoes for indoor and outdoor surfaces, water, and indoor and outdoor clothes.
