Lauren Harris joined the University of Delaware Department of Athletics in September 2011 as the compliance intern and was promoted to compliance coordinator in July 2012.
She was promoted to the position of assistant athletics director for compliance in December, 2013.
Harris is responsible for managing the NLI process, monitoring student-athlete eligibility, educating coaches, student-athletes and staff members on NCAA rules and regulations, serving as the liaison between athletics staff members and the Office of Admissions, Registrar’s Office and Student Financial Services and tracking the completion of the Academic Progress Rate report.
Additionally, she coordinates student-athlete scholarships and financial aid while managing the NCAA Special Assistance Fund.
Prior to arriving at Delaware, Harris worked for the Tulsa Shock of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and with the University of Central Florida Athletics Association.
Harris received a bachelor’s of science degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from East Carolina University in 2007. She earned a master's degree in business administration (2009) and a master's degree in sport business management (2010) from the University of Central Florida DeVos Sport Business Management program.
