Seth Greenwood joined the University of Delaware Athletics Department in February 2013 as the grounds manager.
Greenwood came to UD from SynaTek, where he spent four-plus years as a sales territory manager and regional distributor for the turf and ornamental industry. He also worked with the Helena Chemical Company in the same role.
While at the Helena Chemical Company, Greenwood was honored as the 2005 Salesman of the Year and also was awarded the 2004 Helena Credit Management Award.
Prior to entering sales, Greenwood was the golf course superintendent at Tattersall Golf Club in West Chester, Pa. He has experience working at Anglebrook Golf Club (Lincolndale, N.Y.), Deepdale Golf Club (Manhasset, N.Y.), Bulle Rock Golf Club (Havre de Grace, Md.), Congressional Country Club (Bethesda, Md.), Augusta Country Club (Augusta, Ga.), Council Fire Country Club (Chattanooga, Tenn.), Palmetto Dunes (Hilton Head Island, S.C.), Arthur Hills Course (Hilton Head Island, S.C.), Long Cove Club (Hilton Head Island, S.C.), and Augusta National Club (Augusta, Ga.).
Greenwood has volunteered for numerous prestigious professional golf tournaments including the LPGA Championship, U.S. Senior Open, and Masters.
He holds professional affiliations with the Sports Turf Managers Association and Keystone Athletic Field Managers Association.
A native of Livingston, Ala., Greenwood graduated from the University of Georgia in 1995 with a bachelor of science in agriculture.
He and his wife, Deena, have two children, Jacob and Lora. Greenwood enjoys playing golf in his spare time.
