We have the following positions available in the Intramural Program.
Sport Official (Positions Available)
The Sport Official plays an intergral role in the program. These are the students that are on the front line, day to day, working with all of our participants. The official will work hard but have a lot of fun at the same time. You will learn valuable experience as well as have one of the best leadership developing jobs on campus. Hours are very flexible and we will work around your schedule. Previous experience is not necessary but a basic knowledge of sports is very helpful (even the couch kind). We will hold a pre-season training session that you must attend in order to work a specific sport. Once you apply you will receive an email containing information pertaining to the next sports offered. All you have to do is show up at the training meeting, be put on the schedule, and have fun while getting paid. Officials start out at $7.25 per hour, and receive a raise based on hours worked. (Work Study students are encourgaged to apply but it is not required to be Work Study for this job.) We have a mailing list setup to keep you informed of upcoming sports and training sessions. Send an email to Adam Jines to be included on an Intramural Job Interest List Serve
The office staff plays an important role within the program. These students are responsible for the day to day communication with all of our participants. They will be doing general office work like data entry, answering phones, and dealing with customers. Customer service is the real quality that we are looking for. Most students work about 10-15 hours per week, and the schedule is set for the semester. Work Study is required for this position. Stop by the IM Office and fill out an application as soon as you get back to campus, or download an application here and bring it by the office.
The Supervisor is an upper level student with previous experience in the Intramural Program. The supervisor is responsible for setting up the events, making sure officials are in place, and responding to emergencies and questions as the night progresses.
