Richmond, Va. – Sophomore Kristina Congdon of the University of Delaware women’s swimming and diving team earned her first league honor of the 2013-14 season as she was named Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Diver of the Week.

Congdon captured two first-place finishes in the 1-Meter (259.98) and 3-Meter (260.90) diving events in Delaware’s dual meet with George Mason at Rawstrom Natatorium Saturday, Oct. 19. The Blue Hens earned their second-straight victory of the season with a 161-130 win over Mason.

The league honor is just the second of Congdon’s career as a Blue Hen as she was also named Her CAA Diver of the Week on Nov. 14, 2012.

Congdon and the Hens take a week off before returning to action Friday, Nov. 1. Delaware will compete in the CAA pod meet in Harrisonburg, Va. The Delaware women will face UNCW, James Madison and William & Mary while the men face UNCW and William & Mary.
