RICHMOND, Va. -- University of Delaware junior Jack Gianniny was named the Colonial Athletic Association Men’s Golfer of the Week on Wednesday after his impressive performance at the Manor Intercollegiate last weekend.

Gianniny (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland) tied for the individual lead at the tournament on Saturday and Sunday, before falling on the first playoff hole. He fired a three under par 69-73-71-213 on the par 72, 7,246-yard course at The Manor Golf Club, leading the Blue Hens to a third place team finish.

Gianniny’s opening round 69 was his third lowest of the season, while his 213 score was the second lowest three-round total of the year. He posted his team-leading fourth top-10 finish of the year, and leads the Blue Hens with a 72.30 average round this season.
