NEWARK, Del. – The University of Delaware women's basketball team, which will begin a new era this season under the leadership of first-year head coach Natasha Adair, announced the non-conference portion of the squad's 2017-18 campaign Thursday morning.

The schedule is highlighted by four home matchups in the Bob Carpenter Center and contests against two teams that reached postseason WNIT play.

The Hens open the season with two road matches at Buffalo (November 10) and Hartford (November 13) before returning home to host American (November 16) and Boston University (November 19).

Delaware will then make the short trip to Philadelphia, Pa., for the Thanksgiving break as Saint Joseph's, which made a WNIT appearance last season, will host Delaware, Saint Peter's and Eastern Illinois on November 25-26.

UD follows with a three-game road trip with contests at St. Bonaventure (November 29), Princeton (December 2) and Army West Point (December 6).  The Tigers also made a trip the postseason WNIT last year.

The Blue Hens close out non-conference action by returning to the Bob to face Delaware State (December 10) and Loyola (December 22).

Delaware returns eight letter winners from last season's squad that finished 16-14.  The Hens will have three transfer student-athletes that will be eligible to complete this season while adding three newcomers to the mix.
