RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Delaware women’s basketball team will open the 2017-18 Colonial Athletic Association campaign with five of its first seven games on the road as announced Thursday alongside the complete, tentative schedule for the upcoming season.

The Blue Hens will face each of the league squads at both home and away for a total of 18 CAA matchups. 

Delaware kicks off its 17th season in the CAA, and first under head coach Natasha Adair, at Drexel (December 29) before welcoming Elon (January 5) to the Bob Carpenter Center. The Hens then travel south to the College of Charleston (January 7) before heading north to Hofstra (January 12). 

UD continues January at home against Towson (January 14) before a weekend in North Carolina at UNCW (January 19) and Elon (January 21). 

The Hens conclude the opening month with home matches versus Northeastern (January 26) and UNCW (January 28). 

A trip to Northeastern (February 4) is next on deck for the Blue Hens, who will then feature four straight home contests against William & Mary (February 9), Hofstra (February 11), James Madison (February 16) and the College of Charleston (February 18).

Delaware will then make a swing through Virginia for games at William & Mary (February 23) and James Madison (February 25) before its final regular season home contest of the year on March 1 versus Drexel.

The Hens wrap regular season action at Towson on March 3.

The 2018 CAA Women’s Basketball Championship will be hosted by Drexel University on March 7-10 at the Daskalakis Athletic Center in Philadelphia.

All dates for CAA conference games are SUBJECT TO CHANGE. Game times will be announced at a later date.
