RICHMOND, Va. – Blue Hens midfielder Lotte de Koning (Vreeland, The Netherlands/RSG Broklede) was named the CAA Field Hockey Rookie of the Week Tuesday.
De Koning posted two goals and two assists as No. 7 Delaware (8-3) ousted opponents by a tally of 13-0 in two games this past weekend.
The freshman registered the game-winning goal in Friday’s 4-0 CAA-opening win at Drexel. She added a goal and two assists in Sunday’s 9-0 victory over Lafayette.
De Koning has started all 11 games this season for the Blue Hens and is fifth in the CAA with 1.73 points per game on a total of 19 points (8g, 3a).

Delaware continues league action Sunday by hosting No. 16 James Madison (7-3, 0-0 CAA) at 1 p.m. in a rematch of the past three CAA Tournament Championship games. Admission at Fred P. Rullo Stadium is free and open to the public. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive free Delaware socks.
