·    With a 3-1 start to the year, the Blue Hens are ranked No. 6 in the latest Penn Monto/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I Coaches Poll.
     ·    Greta Nauck was named the CAA Player of the Week while Femke Strien earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
     ·    Taylor Lister leads the nation with 2.25 assists per game and is also fifth nationally with 3.25 points per. With nine assists so far this season, Lister has moved into sixth all-time for the Hens with 26 career assists.
     ·    Kayla Devlin ranks third with 1.75 assists per contest.
     ·    Greta Nauck is sixth nationally with 3.0 points per game and seventh with 1.25 goals per.
     ·    Greta Nauck has moved into fourth all-time in the Delaware record books with 49 career goals. She is also tied for fifth in program history with 115 career points.
     ·    As a team, Delaware is in the top 10 of six statistical categories (assists per game, points per game, scoring average, scoring margin, defensive saves, penalty corners per game).
     ·    Delaware captured the program’s first-ever NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship in 2016. 
     ·    The Hens finished the year with a remarkable 23-2 overall record while outscoring opponents by a margin of 100-39 over the course of the entire season.    
Delaware returns seven starters and 13 letter winners from a season ago while welcoming seven newcomers to the roster.
     ·    The Hens feature a total of seven international players on the roster.
     ·    The four-time defending conference champion Blue Hens were picked as the CAA field hockey favorite for the fourth straight season in the league’s preseason poll.
     ·    The 2016 Honda Award winner for field hockey, junior Greta Nauck was tabbed the CAA Preseason Player of the Year while seniors Emmeline Oltmans and Taylor Lister and juniors Kiki Bink and Lisa Giezeman garnered Preseason All-CAA accolades.
     ·    Kayla Devlin and Emmeline Oltmans were chosen as team captains this season.
     ·    Head coach Rolf van de Kerkhof (Fonty’s Hogeschool ’96) returns for his seventh season at the helm of the Blue Hens and holds an all-time record of 89-46 (.659) at Delaware.

Delaware is 18-10 overall versus this weekend’s opponents.
     ·    The Hens hold the 17-9 advantage over Penn, including a 7-4 mark on the Quakers’ turf, and travel to Philly for the first time since 2003. UD has won two straight over Penn, including last season’s 3-2 overtime victory at Fred P. Rullo Stadium.
     ·    The Blue Hens and Liberty are knotted at 1-1 all-time. Delaware picked up the first win in 2013 while the Flames gathered the 6-2 victory in 2015. The Hens have never played in Lynchburg.
