BOSTON, Mass. -- The University of Delaware Women's Four finished in seventh place on Saturday at the Head of the Charles Regatta.

The boat of coxswain Alison Gibney, Carly Alexander, Emma Spillman, McKayla Wood, and Kaitlyn Thomesen crossed the finish line with a time of 19:44.273 to place seventh out of 59 boats in the race.

"It was a strong effort, the crew felt very good about their performance," said Blue Hen head coach Kevin Gruber. "They represented UD well on one of rowing’s biggest stages. The weekend was a lot of fun, beginning to end."

Delaware returns to the water on Saturday when the Blue Hens compete in the Head of the Schuylkill Regatta in Philadelphia.
