NEWARK, Del. – After sweeping their first weekend of Colonial Athletic Association play, the Blue Hen women's soccer squad looks to keep its undefeated conference record alive as UD makes the short trip to Philadelphia to take on CAA foe Drexel Saturday at 1 p.m.

Delaware (6-5, CAA 2-0) defeated UNCW and College of Charleston last weekend by a combined total of 8-2 with eight different Blue Hens notching a goal.

Delaware has won four of its last five games and has only allowed its opponents to score four goals over that stretch.

“We had some great results last week and we’re very excited to travel to Philadelphia to play a very talented Drexel team this weekend,” said Delaware head coach Scott Grzenda. “We have put ourselves in a great position within the conference and need to continue to play with the passion and focus we saw last weekend.”

Delaware and Drexel come into Saturday’s game as two of only three CAA teams with an undefeated conference record. Northeastern is the third team with an unbeaten CAA slate.

Nikki Adams leads the team with four goals and 10 points on the season, while Andi Arnold has a team-high four assists. Andrea Gunderson scored her first goal of the season in Delaware’ 4-1 win over College of Charleston Sunday and earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors.

Saturday’s game will be the 18th meeting between the Blue Hens and Dragons. The first meeting between the two programs was in 1997 and UD leads the all-time series 13-2-2. Delaware defeated Drexel 1-0 last season, but lost in its last visit to Drexel 1-0 in 2012.

After losing five games in a row earlier in the season, Drexel (5-5-1, CAA 2-0) has righted the ship and has won four straight games coming into Saturday’s contest.

The Dragons defeated both College of Charleston and UNCW 1-0 last weekend and have not allowed a goal during their four-game winning streak.

Lauren Stollar leads Drexel with three goals on the season and Alyssa Findlay, Sam Greenfield, and Megan Hammaker are all tied for the team lead with two assists each.

The game between the Blue Hens and Dragons is set to begin Saturday at 1 p.m. at Drexel’s Vidas Field.
