Gameday Happenings – Delaware vs. Albany

Traffic & Parking:  Season and single game parking lots open 4 hours prior to kickoff.  Single game parking is available for $15.  Season passes must be displayed at all times and patrons must enter through the Entrance indicated on their parking pass.

UD Athletic Ticket Office Opens at Delaware Stadium Main Gate: Saturday, 10 a.m.

Gates Open At Delaware Stadium: Saturday, 10 a.m.

Team Walk: Saturday at 9:30 a.m.  Join us to greet members of the Blue Hens Football squad during pre-game as they march down Stadium Drive escorted by the Delaware Marching Band, Cheerleaders, and Spirit Groups to the locker room. The walk will begin approximately two and a half hours before kickoff each game in front of the Delaware Field House.  This week’s Team Walk will be led by members UD spirit alumni and the 1963 National Championship UD Football team!

Blue Hens Fan Zone: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Adjacent to Bob Carpenter Center and Hospitality Village
Family friendly fun zone featuring the crowd favorite SPEAKER CITY, the UD Alumni Weekend staple live entertainment comprised of UD Alumni!  They will be on the Delaware Lottery Stage for all to enjoy this Saturday.  Be sure to stop by gameday sponsor Alex and Ani (+) Energy.  The Fan Zone is full of good times on the inflatables and interactives, including the UDairy Creamery Moo Mobile on-site during pregame selling the Blue Hens' favorite ice cream! 

The Coors Light Coop: Saturday, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Located just north of the Delaware Stadium West Main Gate Entrance
Special hospitality area for our guests 21 and over where they are invited to stop by and purchase adult beverages and snacks while catching live college gameday broadcasts.  Must be 21 and over for entry and must present valid photo ID and paid game ticket.

Shoe Drive: In conjunction with their final home meet of the season this Homecoming Saturday, UD Cross Country and Track & Field teams are collecting gently used athletic shoes and soccer shoes (sizes 7-11) to be donated to the MORE Foundation Group, in order to help change the lives of others.  On gameday, they will be located in front of the west main gate of Delaware Stadium and in the pregame Blue Hens Fan Zone, both locations from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  Thank you in advance for considering to support these teams and donate to their cause.

Student Entrance Programming: SCPAB, The Retreat at Newark, and Barclay’s

UD Student Entrance: UD students should enter through the southwest corner of the stadium.  No ticket is needed, only a valid UD id.  One admission per eligible student.  Buses will run pre-game through kick-off from the following locations:  Rodney/Dickinson, Laird, and Perkins Student Center.

UD Student Giveaway: If you missed the Homecoming Pep Rally on Laird Campus on Friday, 10/11 there will be a limited number of Homecoming Cockpit shirts distributed to the first students in attendance underneath the SEZ stands.  Valid student ID AND student seating wristband required.  Blue and yellow spirit sticks will be distributed by athletics marketing just before kickoff to the 400 students sitting in the front of the Cockpit.  Exclusively for students seated in the student section.

Guest Relations: A Guest Relations kiosk is located outside of Delaware Stadium on the West side of Delaware Stadium beginning two hours pre-game through kick-off.  The main Guest Relations kiosk is located directly inside the West Entrance of Delaware Stadium and is open two hours prior to kick-off through the conclusion of the game.  Lost and found items, the lost parents program and emergency re-entry along with other general fan inquiries are all handled at the main kiosk inside the Stadium.

Homecoming Weekend: A special welcome to all University of Delaware Alumni in attendance at the game.  The 2013 Homecoming Game Package items purchased by UD Alumni in advance are available for pickup at the Coors Light Coop from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.  The crowning of the 2013 Homecoming King & Queen will be honored on-field during the 2nd half of the game, while during pregame representatives from the winning student organization for this year’s Homecoming Banner Competition will lead the team on-field for the game.

Homecoming Postgame Goalpost Party:  UD Alumni Relations is bringing back the Goalpost Party and the event will take place after the game.  The event will take place under a large tent in Hospitality Village.  Guest will be treated to the 10-piece Philadelphia party band All About Me.  The $15.00 cost per/person includes endless appetizers, two drink tickets, a cash bar, photo booth and more.  21+ to drink, under 21 admitted. Everyone will be carded.  When the event is over, between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. there will be buses returning alumni and guests to campus. To join the party, register here.  Refunds will not be given for missed events after the event has taken place, or if the event is postponed or cancelled.  In the event of inclement weather, UD reserves the right to postpone the event to later in the evening or cancel the Goalpost Party. No refunds will be issued if the Goalpost Party is postponed or cancelled.

Season Ticket Holder Giveaway – If you missed us at the first four games, please visit the main Guest Relations kiosk inside Delaware Stadium near the west main gate entrance and show your Season Ticket Holder Benefits card to receive a complimentary football pop-up helmet with key fob schedule item for your use this season.

Hospitality Village (located at corner of 896 and route 4 in front of BCC addition)UD President’s Office, UD College of Health Sciences, Lamda Chi Alpha, UD Men’s Basketball, College of Health Sciences, Delaware Women’s Basketball, and Alex and Ani.  Delaware Baseball Alumni tent will be located by the football practice fields.

Concessions Specials: Season ticket holders are encouraged to show their Season Ticket Holder Benefits Card at concession stand locations for an exclusive 10% discount on their purchase (excludes Grotto’s, Chick-fil-A and alcohol sales)

Craft Beers of Delaware: New this year!  UDAF members, Delaware Diamonds Society members, and Premium Box Seat Ticket Holders are invited to two new in-stadium locations offering the purchase of Delaware brewed beers.  Guests must be 21 and older and sales will conclude at the start of the 4th quarter.  Sales are located in the north west corner of the Stadium as well as the south east corner of the Stadium.

Visiting Team Guests: Guests whose names have been left on a pass list from the visiting school and/or who need to pick up tickets purchased directly through the visiting school, should do so at the East Box Office on the East side of Delaware Stadium.

UD Player Guests/HS Coaches/Non-Football Recruits/Spirit Guests: Should enter through the pass gate on the west side of Delaware Stadium adjacent to the Delaware Stadium Box Office

UD Football Recruits: Should enter through the main entrance of the Bob Carpenter Center and meet designated staff on the 2nd floor of the building immediately at the top of the stairs.

UD Athletics Needs Your Votes: The University of Delaware has been chosen as a finalist for the best "Under the Radar" gameday atmosphere in the NCAA, thanks to you.  Now that we are finalists we need YOUR help to show the country that they were right to choose us.  We need all Blue Hens to go on Facebook (click here) every day until October 21 and vote for UD.  At the end of November the winning school will have a chance to show off their game day atmosphere on CBS.  So go on, get your friends, vote and prepare to have your game face on when CBS arrives this fall.

Halftime In-Stadium:
Join us in recognizing the 1963 National Champion University of Delaware football team at the beginning of halftime, 50 years after their memorable victory.  Following the team recognition, The UD Office of Alumni Relations will have a special award presentation.

Postgame In-Stadium:
After singing the alma mater with the football team, remain in the stands for the postgame band show featuring the University of Delaware Marching Band.

Seatback Rentals: Seatback rentals may be purchased on gameday immediately inside the East and West main entrances.  They are $6 per seat and are cash only on gameday.

Stadium Policies: As a reminder, items not allowed at Delaware Stadium include outside alcohol, aluminum cans, artificial noisemakers, coolers/ice chests/thermoses, fireworks, glass bottles, large backpacks/bags, large stadium seats, outside food or drink, projectiles of any sort, umbrellas (ponchos are recommended), weapons.

Patrons are permitted to bring in one unopened bottle of water per guest. In order to ensure the safety of our guests. all bags will be checked as patrons enter the facility. Please plan accordingly as long lines may exist.  Delaware Stadium has a No Re-Entry policy. Patrons experiencing an emergency or who must exit for medical reasons may go to the main Guest Relations kiosk inside the Stadium on the West side for assistance. Tailgating: Patrons may tailgate beginning 4 hours prior to kickoff and may resume post game for up to two hours after the conclusion of the game. Tailgates must be limited to the immediate space behind the patron's vehicle and driveways must be kept clear at all times. For information on Blue Hens Hospitality packages, call 302-831-2257.
