Former Blue Hen Pitching Ace Al Neiger Selected to UD Athletics Hall of Fame

NEWARK, Del. (November 12, 2008) -- Seven All-Americans, the all-time leading scorers in men’s lacrosse and women’s basketball history, and the winningest coach in Blue Hen men’s basketball annals highlight the 2008 induction class of the University of Delaware Athletics Hall of Fame announced Wednesday. Among the group is former UD All-American pitcher and former Philadelphia Phillie Al Neiger (above). Induction is set for Friday, Nov. 21.
