Dare To Be Strong Submissions
In conjunction with Women’s Health Awareness Day on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, the Athletics Department and our Women’s Basketball program celebrated the many women across Delaware and the surrounding region who have shown unparalleled bravery and strength while personally battling illness. We asked for you to submit your story, testimony, poem, social commentary or any other sort of creative expression about the heroic woman who's story about her fight with disease has personally touched your life.
Every author of a submission received two (2) complimentary tickets to the Blue Hens Women’s Basketball game vs. VCU on Sunday, February 5 at 3pm and invited to represent and/or join their mom, sister, daughter, wife, grandma, aunt, friend, co-worker or neighbor in a “Dare to be Strong” halftime on-court tribute in celebration of the women in your lives that have empowered and inspired others with their fighting spirit through extreme adversity.
