Who: The University of Delaware Athletics Department will partner with the 4th and 5th grade classes at Warner Elementary School of the Colonial School District for Blue Hens Community Field Day.
What: Field Day will be filled with opportunities for students to engage in positive interaction with our student-athletes, coaches and athletics administrators in a fun-filled setting on campus. The day's activities will include traditional field day games including tug-o-war, relay races, egg races, trivia contests and more. Of most importance, during the time spent with the students, the coaches and student-athletes will focus on sharing with them the importance of education, positive behavior, health/fitness and teamwork.
When: Wednesday, May 16 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Where: Delaware Stadium, University of Delaware (rain location is Bob Carpenter Center)
Why: Blue Hens Community Field Day is intended to positively impact the Warner Elementary School student body through interaction with our student-athletes as role models while offering exposure to a collegiate environment.
