The finest women's tennis player in University of Delaware history, Laura has also proved that she can coach the sport with equal success. A native of Wilmington, Del., Laura made an impact as a freshman in 1985 and has kept on going. The team's No. 1 singles player all four years, Laura claimed three East Coast Conference singles titles and one doubles title during a career that saw her establish school marks for singles wins in a season (22) and career (73-12) to go with 50 career doubles wins. A 1989 graduate of Delaware, she also earned CoSIDA District II All-Academic and ECC Scholar-Athlete of the Year honors as a senior. As head coach of the UD men's and women's tennis teams, she has earned league Coach of the Year honors five times and led teams to one conference title and nine second place finishes as of the 2001 season.
