A 1982 graduate of Delaware, Carol is one of the most decorated athletes in UD field hockey history, earning All-American honors three times and competing as a member of the U.S. National Team. A two-time team captain, she led the 1978 Blue Hen squad to a second place AIAW national finish and the 1981 team to a third place finish. A native of East Petersburg, Pa., she became head field hockey coach at her alma mater in 1993 and led the nationally-ranked squad to two conference titles, two NCAA Tournament appearances, and 194 wins over 17 seasons before retiring from her post in 2010.
