FOOTBALL: Delaware 2008 Football Media Guide Judged "Best in the Nation" by CoSIDA

WISE, Va. (July 3, 2009) -- The 2008 University of Delaware Football Media Guide has been judged “Best in the Nation” by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) as part of it annual publications contest. The 184-page publication was edited by Scott Selheimer and Kevin Tritt and designed by UD Senior Art Director Keith Heckert. Full Story..

WOMEN'S ATHLETICS: Mary Ann Hitchens Golf/Tennis Classic Set for Sept. 21 at Deerfield

NEWARK, Del. (July 2, 2009) -- Playing spots and sponsorships are now available for the fourth annual Mary Ann Hitchens Golf & Tennis Classic, which benefits University of Delaware women’s athletics. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Kabongo Representing Canada at World University Games in Serbia

BELGRADE, SERBIA (July 2, 2009) -- Vanessa Kabongo (above), who was the second leading scorer for the University of Delaware women’s basketball squad this past season, is representing her home country Canada at the World University Games this week. GOLF: Justin Martinson Finishes Second, Greg Matthias Seventh At DSGA Amateur Championship

DAGSBORO, Del. (July 1, 2009) -- Justin Martinson finished in second place at one over par while Greg Matthias was seventh at 13 over par as the two Blue Hens competed in the Delaware State Golf Association Amateur Championship Monday through Wednesday at Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club.
