Alicia Greco
Assistant Director of Athletics, Operations
Alicia Greco, a 2008 University of Delaware graduate, will begin her fourth season on the UD athletics staff and her third as Assistant Director of Athletics for Operations in 2012-13.
In her role, Greco coordinates day-to-day operations of Delaware's 21-sport athletics program (excluding football and men's and women's basketball), coordinating team practice needs, scheduling facilities for games and practices, and supervising a part-time student staff as game management for UD home athletics contests.
While at Delaware, she has also served as Vice-Chair and Strategic Marketing Director for the Annual Pigskin Pass fundraiser in 2006-09. The event, a 58-mile relay race involving student-athletes from Delaware and Towson University, raises money for Special Olympics.
Greco earned her master's degree in education at Delaware with a concentration in higher education administration and sport management in May, 2011. She earned her undergraduate degree in health and exercise science with a concentration in sport management and business administration in 2008.
She has worked at the University of Delaware since 2001, serving as a pool supervisor and swim lesson coordinator at the UD Outdoor Pool for seven summers and as office assistant and head cashier at the UD Fred Rust Ice Arena in 2003-08.
Greco has also worked for the New York Mets baseball organization, serving as a Fantasy Camp Representative in January 2008 and 2009 and also as a site manager for Fan Photos in 2007-08, where she supervised a photo staff of 25.
She also worked for Octagon Inc. and served as Events Coordinator for Corporate Events and Hospitality for Lexus Champions for Charity in Norwalk, Conn.
In March, 2012, Greco was appointed as the new representative for the University of Delaware Professional Advisory Council (PAC) District #10.
