Aja Murray
Athletics Operations Graduate Assistant

Aja Murray, a May, 2010 University of Delaware graduate, begins her sixth year working with the UD Athletics program and her second in the position of athletics operations graduate assistant.
Murray works closely with UD Director of Athletics for Operations Alicia Greco and Operations Assistant Kevin Zuchorski.
She assists in the day-to-day operations of Delaware's 21-sport athletics program (excluding football and men's and women's basketball), coordinating team practice needs, scheduling facilities for games and practices, and supervising a part-time student staff as game management for UD home athletics contests.
A native of Demarest, N.J., Murray earned her degree with honors in sport management with a minor in leadership in May, 2010. She is currently pursing a master's degree in higher education.
She worked closely with athletics operations as an undergraduate beginning in 2006, assisting with game management and ticket sales at home games, and also worked as a student manager and team statistician for the Blue Hen men's lacrosse team. She served as assistant coordinator for the National Handball Tournament held at Delaware in April, 2007.
She served as the vice-president and secretary of the Sport Management Club at Delaware and was also promotions director for the Hens' Hardwood Classic.
Murray spent a year studying abroad at Bond University in Australia during the spring of 2008 and worked as a sports marketing intern for the school's athletics program.
She received the YoUDee Diversity in Leadership Award in May, 2007 from Delaware, has worked as a YMCA youth swimming coach, and has served as a Girls Scouts of America mentor.
