Delaware Names Patty Vazquez-Bello Athletic Ticketing Operations Assistant

NEWARK, Del. -- Patty Vazquez-Bello (at right), who previously served in the athletics ticketing offices at Miami, Arizona State, and Florida International, has been named athletic ticketing operations assistant at the University of Delaware.
A native of Miami, Fla., she will assist Director of Athletic Ticketing Operations Trent Bartling in overseeing all aspects of the athletic ticket operations, representing UD Athletics in coordinating with the University's Central Ticketing Service operations, and increasing the athletics ticket customer base.

A 2006 honors graduate of the University of Miami with a bachelor's degree in sociology with a minor in sports administration, Vazquez-Bello brings a wealth of collegiate athletics ticketing experience, having previously served in that capacity at Miami, Arizona State, and Florida International.

Most recently she served one year as a wholesale account executive in Doral, Fla. for Peace Love World, a world-wide clothing manufacturer. She created marketing packages, analyzed sales figures, attended trade shows, organized show events, and worked in sales.
She began her career in ticketing while an undergraduate at Miami, working in the office her final two seasons. She then served as a graduate assistant at Arizona State in 2006-07 where she worked with Bartling. While at ASU she oversaw ticket sales and supervised staff for all Olympic sporting events.
Vazquez-Bello then returned to Miami and served as assistant director of ticket operations for Hurricane athletics in 2007-08. While at Miami, she managed ticket sales for all major sporting events, including initial contact, invoicing, and customer service for more than 30,000 fans with a budget in excess of $100,000. She supervised full-time and part-time employees responsible for customer service and game day staffing and worked closely with University donors, the athletic business office, and the marketing department.
She moved across town to Florida International University in Doral, Fla. and served as box office manager for over a year in 2009-10. She coordinated music and theatre faculty events and ticketing procedures, created contracts for concert hall rentals, and implemented sponsorship packages for advertising in programs.
