NEWARK, Del. - - Looking for a fun-filled, family-friendly activity for your kids this winter?
The University of Delaware Athletic Department is excited to offer three group ticket packages available for home Men’s and Women’s Basketball games this season.
Youth group opportunities include: the Blue Hen Birthday Party Package for kids, the Hens High Five Tunnel Package and the Hens Halftime Highlight Package.
The Blue Hen Birthday Party Package is available and perfect for kids of all ages with built-in entertainment, including special discounted tickets for just $10 each for everyone in the group (minimum party of 10 people -- 2 adults and 8 children -- to be eligible). Each ticket includes the game ticket and a food voucher redeemable for a hot dog, soda and birthday cupcake. A hospitality pregame area is available during pregame for select games, based on availability. Also, the special birthday boy/girl will receive an autographed team poster and enjoy seeing his/her name in lights on the scoreboard message center during the game.
The Hens High Five Tunnel allows a group/team to high five the Hens as they take the court either during pregame or at halftime. Each Hens High Five Tunnel purchase for $200 includes 35 tickets, and an opportunity to purchase additional tickets at a special discounted rate of $5 each. Athletics Marketing will be able to capture the moment via taking pictures from the court and recognizing the team/group while forming the tunnel.
And finally, the Hens Halftime Highlight package gives fans the opportunity to perform, scrimmage fellow youth teams, or be recognized at halftime on the Bob Carpenter Center court. The experience for $295 includes 50 game tickets for the group and the opportunity to purchase additional tickets at a special discounted rate of $5 each. Athletics Marketing will be able to capture the performance/scrimmage via taking pictures from the court and recognizing the team/group during halftime.

In addition these opportunities, group pricing for Blue Hens Basketball this season is also available. Group tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate by calling the UD Athletic Ticket Office at (302) 831-2257. Group tickets must be purchased in one transaction at least 24 hours in advance of the day of the game. $5 tickets are available for groups of 20-49 people, while tickets are just $3 each for groups of 50 or more.
A transaction fee of $5 per order will be accessed at time of purchase. All group tickets are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.
