NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women's swimmer Hannah Facchine, who won posted six top three finishes in two meets during the week, is the Army ROTC Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for the period ending January 31.

Facchine, a sophomore from Raleigh, N.C. (William Enloe High Schol), led Delaware (10-5) to a mid-week win over Widener and later had top three finishes as the Hens fell to UMBC and William & Mary in a tri-meet on Saturday.

In the 158-75 victory over Widener in Delaware's home finale at Rawstrom Pool on Wednesday, she captured the 200 breaststroke competition with a time of 2:25.37 and placed second in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.37).

On Saturday, despite Delaware's losses to host UMBC and William & Mary, Facchine captured the 200 breaststroke in 2:23.47, placed second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.76, and finished third in the 200 medley relay (1:49.22) and third in the 200 individual medley in 2:12.37.

The Delaware swimmers will be off from competition for three weeks in preparation for the annual Colonial Athletic Association Championships Feb. 24-27 at George Mason University.
