NEWARK, Del. -- Curtis Dickson, who led the University of Delaware men's lacrosse team to a pair of Colonial Athletic Association victories this week, is the Wilmington Trust Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 12.

Dickson, a junior attackman from Port Coquitlam, British Columbia (Riverside High School), led the resurgent Hens to a 7-6 home win over Sacred Heart Wednesday night and a 12-10 victory over Robert Morris on the road Saturday as the Delaware moved itself back into the CAA Tournament race.

The Hens (5-8, 2-1 CAA) will look to solidfy its place in the CAA Tournament with a win this Saturday at home vs. long-time rival Towson at 1 p.m. at Rullo Stadium.

The 2009 CAA Pre-Season Player of the Year and a 2008 USILA honorable mention All-American, Dickson had a productive week as he recorded 10 points on seven goals and three assists, had 24 shots, and scooped up two groundballs.

He opened the week with three goals in the win over Sacred Heart and added a season-high seven points vs. Robert Morris with four goals and three assists. He scored all four of his goals in the second half vs. RMU to help the Hens pull away from the Colonials and snap a 10-game road losing streak.

Dickson now has five hat tricks this season and 15 for his career and extended his three-year point-scoring streak to 38 straight games, the fifth longest active streak among NCAA Division I players.
