NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware junior tennis player Amanda Campbell, who won two titles at the Swarthmore Invitational this past weekend, is the Wilmington Trust Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for Sept. 8.

Campbell, a sociology major from Pittsburgh, Pa. (Fox Chapel High School), won Flight 4 Pool B and advanced to the finals where she beat Julia Guarino from Johns Hopkins 6-1, 6-1.

In doubles action, Campbell and Megan Doran beat a team from Johns Hopkins by an 8-0 score.

Delaware, led by head coach Laura Travis, won all four singles flights and both doubles sections to dominate the competition.

The team will be in action next Sept. 12-14 when the Blue Hens host in-state rival Delware State at the Delaware Field House Courts.
