NEWARK, Del. -- Justin Martinson, who set a single round school record when he shot a 64 on Sunday to captured the individual title at the Lincoln Mercury Intercollegiate Tournament hosted by Seton Hall University, is the National 5 & 10 Stores Inc. Best of the Blue Hens Athlete of the Week for Oct. 18.

Martinson, a senior international relations major from Avondale, Pa. (Kennett High School), earned the Best of the Blue Hens honor for the fourth time in his career and for the first time this season.

The 2010 Colonial Athletic Association Golfer of the Year and an NCAA Regional qualifier fired a school-record eight-under par 64 on Sunday at the 7,014-yard Fiddler's Elbow Country Club River Course in Bedminster, N.J. to capture the individual title.

He shot a 77 in the first round Saturday but improved 13 shots and 29 places to win the tournament - the sixth individual title of his career - and lead Delaware to a fifth place team finish. He also won the individual title at the Seton Hall Tournament in 2009.

Martinson's score of 64 Sunday broke the school record of 65 he had set earlier this fall at Navy. His 64 also set a River Course record.

In five outings this fall, he has won one tournament, placed second at the Navy Fall Classic, and was fifth at the Joe Agee Invitational at William & Mary. He leads the team with a 72.25 stroke average in 12 rounds.

Delaware wraps up its 2010 fall schedule on October 25-26 when the Blue Hens compete in the Old Dominion Seascape Invitational at Currituck Country Club in Nags Head, N.C.
