High School: Four-year baseball letterwinner at Somerset High School and two-year letterwinner in football...posted a 12-6 mark as a senior as Somerset, which was the Laurel Highlands Conference runner-up...went 15-4 as a sophomore and 14-4 as a junior while leading Somerset to the Laurel Highlands Conference championship both seasons...hit .472 as a senior with four home runs, 20 RBI and 12 stolen bases...as a junior hit .538 with three home runs and 20 RBI...also hit .527 with one home run and 21 RBI as a sophomore...
