Wilmington Blue Rocks 4, Delaware 0 (Exhibition) April 5, 2001 Blue Hens Turn Triple Play in Fourth Inning Peter Maestrales went 2-for-3 against the Blue Rocks NEWARK, DE -- The University of Delaware baseball team played the Wilmington Blue Rocks tough before falling , 4-0, Thursday night in an exhibition game at Frawley Stadium. Blue Hen pitchers Vic Sage, Mike Mihalik, Rob Ogilvie, and Mike Pelcher combined to pitch five scoreless innings while allowing just one hit, but the Blue Rocks pushed across four runs in the bottom of the sixth off of Nick Spiewak for the game's only scoring. Peter Maestrales went 2-for-3 and Doug Eitelman singled in his only at bat for Delaware. The Hens had their best chance to score in the first inning when Casey Fahy walked, stole second, and advanced to third base on a wild pitch with one out. However, Maestrales popped up and Chris Kolodzey grounded out to third to end the threat. The game's most dramatic play came in the bottom of the fourth when the Rocks had runners on first and second with nobody out. Mike Tonis hit a deep fly ball to centerfield, but Reid Gorecki made a running catch. Both Wilmington runners thought the ball dropped and were doubled off for a triple play.
