Penn State 8, Delaware 0 March 23, 2003 Farrell pitches compete game shutout to lead Penn State over the Hens Steve Harden (15) got one of the Blue Hens four hits   NEWARK, DE -- Jim Farrell, making his first career start for Penn State University, pitched a complete game, four-hit shutout to lead the Nittany Lions to an 8-0 victory over the University of Delaware baseball team today at Bob Hannah Stadium. Penn State won two of the three games in the weekend series. Wes Reohr hit a three-run homer to left in the first inning to stake the Nittany Lions to a 4-0 lead before Delaware came to bat in the game. Reohr went 2-for-5 with a double, homer and three RBI. Penn State added single runs in the third, fourth, seventh and eighth inning to improve its season record to 5-7. Freshman Todd Davison (Somers Point, NJ) had a double in the eighth inning for the Blue Hens. Sophomore Scott Rambo (Downingtown, PA) went 7.0 innings, allowing seven runs (four earned) and struck out nine batters to fall to 2-3 on the season. Farrell, a transfer from Otero Junior College, improved to 1-0 in 2003. The Blue Hens (6-13) will host UMBC Tuesday at Bob Hannah Stadium.
