Delaware 7, Wilmington College 2 April 15, 2003 Harden, Eitelman smack homeruns in win over local rival Wilmington College NEW CASTLE, DE -- Senior first baseman Steve Harden crushed two homers and pitched the final two innings in relief to propel the University of Delaware to a 7-2 non-conference baseball win over local rival Wilmington College today at Wilson Stadium in New Castle, DE. Harden blasted a two-run shot to dead-center field for a 2-0 Blue Hen lead in the fourth. Senior right fielder Doug Eitelman smacked a solo homer to center as part of a four run fifth inning for the Hens. Harden hit his team-leading eighth homer of the season in the eighth to account for Delaware's final run of the game as they led 7-0 after eight innings. Pete Henyan hit a two-run homer in the ninth for Wilmington (19-13-1) to break up the Delaware shutout. Senior Ryan Dulaney made his second start of the year allowing only three hits over 7.0 innings and struck out three to even his season record to 1-1. With a single to left center in the fourth inning, senior Kris Dufner became the 25th player at Delaware to garner 200 hits in his career. Dufner finished the day 1-for-3 with a run and a RBI. Harden finished the day 2-for-3 with four RBI and currently enjoys an eight-game hitting streak. Senior Matt Wimer extended his hit streak to seven-games with a single through the left side in the fifth.
