2006: Joined team as a walk-on during fall practice • posted a 5.40 ERA in six appearances, including two starts • pitched 16.2 innings.

High School: Two-year letterwinner at Kellenberg Memorial High School • team was CHSAA league champions during senior season • went 4-1 and struck out 39 in 41 2/3 innnings • also lettered in basketball • National Honor Society member.
