2008 Golf Classic Photo Gallery

NEWARK, Del. - The 2008 University of Delaware Baseball Golf Classic was held on October 17 at the Club at Patriots' Glen and raised approximately $15,000 for the Blue Hen baseball program.

During the event, the foursome of Deron Brown, Gary Brown, John Kampes, and Gary Slagle (at right) captured the championship. The victorious group edged out the second-place squad of Bill Gibbons, Wendell Simmonds, David Carpetner, and Bob Britt.

Along with leading his team to victory, John Kampes also was the longest drive winner and shared closest-to-the-pin honors with Troy O'Neal.

A special thanks goes out to Kevin Mench, David Carpenter and Dave Yates for their special contributions toward the golf tournament.
