At Delaware: Will see time as the team’s designated hitter.

2008: Finished third on the team with a .340 batting average and .566 slugging percentage while appearing in 36 games for the Blue Hens • also ranked second on the squad with a .426 on-base percentage • started 29 games, splitting time behind the plate and as the designated hitter • went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored against Lafayette on March 21 • finished a double shy of the cycle against the Leopards after legging out his only triple of the season while also posting a single and home run • finished the year with four homers, including a pinch-hit solo shot against UNCW on April 18 and a two-run blast against Towson on May 10 • went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles in the team’s 12-0 victory over Wilmington on April 30 • recorded a hit in eight of the team’s last nine contests • gunned down seven of 16 attempted base stealers, including two against Rutgers on April 9 • also picked off a pair of runners against George Mason on April 26.

At Frederick Community College 2007: Preseason All-American, first-team All-Conference, second-team All-Region selection • finished second on the team with 51 hits and 43 RBI • third on the team with a .359 batting average and three home runs • team went 33-12 and was crowned District and Regional Champions • finished sixth at the NJCAA Division II World Series in Millington, TN.

2006: Second-team All-Conference and All-Region honoree • led the team with a .448 batting average • also set a single-season school record with 60 RBI • finished second with five home runs, 19 doubles, and 74 hits.

High School: Won two letters as a first baseman and catcher at Herndon High School for head coach Al McCullock • two-time All-District and All-Region selection • Honorable Mention All-State pick as a junior and an All-Met selection as a senior.

Personal: Christopher Steven "Chris" Nehl ("kneel") • son of Steven and Joanne Nehl • mother serves as the Director of Operations for the Northern Virginia Travel Baseball League • has an older brother Michael • honor student as a fitness management major at Delaware.
